Immigration to Sotogrande

| | ,

In the southern Costa de Sol near Gibraltar, in the province of Cadiz, you will find another of the best cities to immigrate to Spain – the tiny upmarket port city of Sotogrande, which offers the most expensive real estate in the entire kingdom.

Some of the richest and most influential families in Spain have bought summer homes in Sotogrande. If you love nightlife, polo, golf and yachting this is what you need.

It is home to some of the best golf courses in Spain as well as the famous Santa Maria Polo Club. Yacht owners can buy a luxury villa with its own marina.

The crown jewel of Sotogrande is Trocadero Sotogrande Restaurant and Beach Club, where you can enjoy excellent Mediterranean cuisine in the most delightful surroundings of your choice, from sea views to pools and gardens with hammocks.

Sotogrande is known as a favorite residence for foreign workers who have been offered a job in Gibraltar but want to settle further along the coast.

They get to Gibraltar by car or by bus. The most popular way is to park in La Linea and cross the border, where there are almost no queues. Many even use folding bicycles to keep fit.

Sotogrande has excellent transport links – Gibraltar Airport is just 20 minutes away and Malaga is an hour’s drive away.

From here, beautiful towns such as Ronda and the famous White Villages of Andalusia are within easy reach.

The cost of housing in exclusive areas of Sotogrande exceeds 4,600 euros per square meter.
